Lesson overview
This lesson explores the intersection of identity, technology, and human agency. Rather than treating online pseudonyms or avatars as tools for deception, it reframes pseudonymity and digital rebirth as vital mechanisms for survival, self-discovery, and authentic expression.

You'll examine three real kinds of pseudonymous personas, analyse a digital profile using the DEAR-ICT method, then split into three research roles - the Sovereignty Squad (how digital rebirth works), the Panopticon Jury (how it can go wrong), and Engineers of Expression (how to design it safely) - before reconvening to synthesise what an algorithm can never capture about a human being.

The lesson ends with your own Digital Rebirth Statement, a plan to spread what you've learned, and a closing sovereignty & pseudonymity check.
