Lesson overview
This is Activity pack 2 of 3 in the Art theme - a direct sibling of Lesson 2, "Art, Expression & Human History". It is an individual pathway: every student completes every activity alone, at their own pace.
You open by guessing whether six images were made by a person or a computer - almost nobody scores above four out of six, and the class result is shown before any explanation. You learn one accurate mental model for what an image generator actually does, hung on a single sentence: the machine has never seen a hand. You learn five visible signs an image may be generated, and mark evidence on the image itself. You take one image and fill in an Image Origin Card - the direct sibling of Lesson 2's AI Verification Card, applied to images instead of statements. You take a position on four situations about who deserves credit when a machine is involved, and see that the class does not agree. Then you make something yourself and write an honest credit line for it - nobody checks, which is the point.
The lesson ends with six new images to measure your own improvement, a five-question test, the same three self-ratings you gave at the start compared with how you answer now, and the Image Literacy & Digital Credit - Level 1 DigComp badge.
