What happens in Task 2
A 7-minute Phase 2 - Encounter activity. Students watch a short (2–3 minute) video of a classroom where children from different cultural backgrounds learn together, showing both moments of collaboration and moments of difficulty. After the video, three discussion questions are revealed one at a time, followed by a short reflection field.
🎯 Learning objectives
O3 - Explain why respecting cultural differences matters in a democratic society. The video gives students a concrete, relatable scene to reason about before moving into abstract case studies.
📋 Activity sequence
- Video - 2–3 minute classroom scene, subtitle toggle available
- Discussion questions - three questions revealed one at a time: how children collaborated, what difficulties they faced, how those difficulties were overcome
- Reflection field - 150 chars, auto-saves to portfolio
