Task 8 - My One-Minute Digital Shield

A good safety rule should be clear enough to use when you feel excited, rushed or worried.

Step 1 - Fill in your three-part shield
🧠 THINK before sharing
πŸ” CHECK messages and sources
πŸ”’ PROTECT accounts and privacy
Step 2 - One realistic action for next week
One small action I'll try next week is…
πŸ”’ Describe the action without naming a real account, app or password.
Step 3 - Pair exchange
Bridge to Phase 5 - Propagation
Your shield is ready. Now it's time to share the wonder with the class.

What happens in Task 8

A 4-minute Phase 4 - Discovery activity. Students build a personal Digital Shield across three parts - THINK before sharing, CHECK messages and sources, PROTECT accounts and privacy - add one realistic action for next week without naming a real account, then respond to a simulated partner's clarifying question.

🎯 Learning objectives

To connect a risk to a protective action and explain why the action helps, reorganising evidence gathered across the lesson into a principle students can remember and apply.
