What happens in Activity 4
An 8-minute Phase 3 - Investigation activity, carrying the lesson's AI-literacy outcome. Choose 1 of 6 movements, rewrite three curated facts in your own words, ask an AI tool one question (a canned, pre-written answer - not a real API call, matching how the rest of this codebase fakes AI output), then complete an AI Verification Card: one statement, one trusted source, a confirmed/incomplete/wrong verdict, and your reasoning.
🎯 Learning objectives
Explain what an art movement is in your own words. Name one historical event that helped it begin. Ask an AI tool one clear question and read the answer critically. Check one statement against a trusted source. Record the result honestly - including when the AI was right.
🔒 Teacher-mediated AI mode
In a full deployment, no student account is created with the AI provider - questions are sent through the platform under the teacher's account, and answers return to individual students. This build shows the canned answer directly, matching every other "AI" interaction on this site (no real API call exists in this codebase).
- Junior chooses from the four ready-made AI questions and checks one date or place, where a clear answer exists
- Voice input on every field; extended time from the accessibility profile
- Senior writes their own question (ready-made ones still available) and may check a claim about influence or meaning, where "incomplete" is a likely honest verdict
- Extra prompt: ask the AI the same question a second time - did the answer change? What does that tell you?
- Print-pack card 4 holds the six movement cards plus a paper verification card
